What is Minoxidil?
Minoxidil was the first medication approved for the treatment of androgenetic alopecia (hair loss).
Prior to its use for hair loss, minoxidil was an oral vasodilator prescribed for high blood pressure, with the unintended side effect of promoting hair growth and reversing male baldness.
For hair loss treatment, minoxidil is available as a topical solution, typically in concentrations of either 2% or 5% in propylene glycol.
The propylene glycol helps ensure even distribution of minoxidil across the affected area while facilitating absorption through the skin.
How Does Minoxidil Work?
Minoxidil topical solution is used to stimulate hair growth in individuals experiencing balding.
The drug appears to have its most significant effect at the crown of the head.
Instructions for Use:
Apply 2 pumps of the product twice daily into the palm of your hand.
Massage gently into the scalp in the targeted hair loss areas using your fingers.
After application, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.
Please note that using more product or applying it more frequently will not enhance results.
Continued use is essential to promote and maintain hair regrowth; discontinuation may result in the return of hair loss.
